I’m from Colombia. I got my permanent resident 5 years ago after that moment my goal was, to become a US citizen. Last year I wrote about my citizenship and I gave thanks to all people that help me to learn English. Now I’m coming again I thank you very much! First to my God for giving me the opportunity to be here; to my tutors for giving me their time to teach me English; to all people of this program and to the others of my factory, because without them I wouldn’t have reached my goal. I studied for long time very hard to speak, write, listen and read English. One year ago I started studing civics, history, geography and government of this country because I need these knowledge in order to have the test The day of my interview I was nerveous, scared but exciting at same time. And thank to my God everythings was perfect March 13th was my day to swear allegiance to USA. I felt very happy and my family too. I have benefits as a US citizen such as the right to vote; to bring my son and his family to this country, stay in Colombia as much as I decide I can travel any country without visa Now, my goal is to continue studing English to improve it for better life in this country
